Eleven people. Six to eight houses. That is the whole plan.
Tom Alderfield served his apprenticeship as a carpenter and spent eleven years framing for other people’s companies before building the first house under his own name in 2009. He is on every site weekly. He still does the first conversation himself, on every job, because the things that go wrong on a build are almost always decided in that hour.
We have been asked to grow. The arithmetic works and we have not done it, because the version of this company that builds twenty houses a year is a company where you cannot get Tom on the phone, and that is the thing people are actually buying.
A project manager on each live job, two carpenters on staff, a site supervisor, an estimator, and an office that answers the phone. Everything else is trades we have used for years and will name for you if you ask.

We do not build outside Halton and west GTA. An hour of driving is how a site goes three days without anyone from the company standing on it.
We do not take a ninth house.
We do not do design-only work, and we will not build somebody else's drawings without going through feasibility ourselves first.
